POPCCE

(pronounced POPS)

POPCCE stands for the Power of Play and Cultural Creative Expression. We are a six-week summer camp for children ages 4 to 10 where creative expression, culture, and learning happen simultaneously. POPCCE is the answer to summer learning loss. We capitalize on children’s summer growth and development and make learning fun!
Campers will learn the lost art of board games – but not only playing them. POPCCE Innovative Players (7 to 10 year olds) will develop a POPCCE board game and present it to parents and friends along with the summer’s cultural and historical play production on the last day of camp. POPCCE Imaginative Players (4 to 6 year olds) will participate in the play and share their summer play experiences as well.
Staff members are professionals in the fields of early childhood and elementary education as well as the performing arts. We collaborate to provide a well-structured, orderly environment in which our campers learn to appreciate each other’s strengths while learning to work on challenges.
POPCCE is a project of Steppingstones Management Services, LLC and continues “nurturing our community through education and social services.”

POPCCE Mission and Philosophy

Through POPCCE, StepMS carries out its mission to cultivate competency and leadership so that our clients may excel in their schools, their jobs, their families and their charitable endeavors.

We believe that every child is capable of learning, especially when that learning occurs naturally in the playing and creativity processes. We are dedicated to capturing the “power of play” in the natural learning environment and capitalize on our children’s ability to teach and transform each other while being guided, directed, and supervised by experienced, patient professionals.
